In games, implementing a “perfect” AI ( Artificial Intelligence) that can beat every human players out there is often actually pretty easy, the hard part is dumbing it down ( making mistakes, missing shots, falling, breaking combos, getting off road, etc. ) so that it feels good to play against. Just enough, mind you, which is the tricky part.
Hence the Artificial Stupidity.
I felt the term nicely summed up the uniqueness of problems we, as game devs, often face and this is supposed to be a game dev blog.
Maybe ?
I don’t know yet what it’s really gonna be, game dev insights, tips, game analysis, reviews….
I just knew that I needed a space to put into pixels some things that might pop up into my silly brain, so that it can finally rest for a bit.
